Dear Friends and Family,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the vibrant and joyous celebration of Durga Pujo 2024 in Stuttgart! Over a period of five days, we will come together to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, immerse ourselves in the cultural richness of Bengal, and strengthen our bonds as a community.

This year's Pujo promises to be a memorable experience filled with traditional rituals, cultural performances, delectable food, and joyous festivities. Whether you are here to seek the blessings of Maa Durga, enjoy the cultural programs, or simply revel in the festive spirit, there is something for everyone to cherish.

 

Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:

Daily Schedule:

October 9th: Sasthi - The auspicious beginning with unveiling of Goddess Durga. On this day, it is believed that Goddess Durga descends on the earth with her four children including Ganesha, karthik, Lakshmi and Saraswati. The Bodhan, Amantran and Adhibas will be followed by Dinner.

October 10th: Saptami - On this day, Goddess Durga idol is invoked with life by the ritual of Pran Pratisthan. A Banana tree (kola bou) is bathed and dressed in a sari like a newly wedded bride. The main Pujo is concluded with Anjali and Arati followed by Lunch. In the evening Sandhya Arati will be followed with Cultural Programs and Dinner.

October 11th: Ashtami - The most significant day wherein Goddess Durga is worshipped as a young and virgin girl in a ritual called as Kumari Puja.The main Pujo is concluded with Anjali and Arati followed by Lunch. In the evening Sandhya Arati will be followed with Cultural Programs and Dinner

October 12th: Navami - The day starts with early morning Sandhi Puja ito worship the Chamunda form of Goddess Durga who is supposed to have slayed buffalo demon Mahishasura. The rest of the day is one of celebration with Navami Pujo, Dhunuchi Naach, and vibrant cultural shows.

October 13th: Dashami - The final day, with Sindoor Khela, Maa Durga's Visarjan, and a farewell ceremony that captures the bittersweet essence of the festival.

Food: Savor authentic Bengali cuisine, from mouth-watering sweets to savory delights like Luchi and Alur Dom.

Kids' play area : Fun activities and games for our younger guests, ensuring that they too can experience the joy of Durga Pujo.
